Early Detection
Early detection plays a central role in the successful treatment of prostate cancer. We recommend:
- Regular preventive examinations from the age of 45
- In cases of family history, from the age of 40
- Annual PSA tests
- Digital rectal examination and micro-ultrasound (ExactVu™) only if abnormalities are found (e.g. elevated PSA)
- Regular health check-ups
- State-of-the-art imaging procedures such as multiparametric prostate MRI, MRI fusion biopsy, PSMA-PET scan, and micro-ultrasound
A particularly innovative component of our diagnostic spectrum is micro-ultrasound (ExactVu™) – a highly advanced procedure that significantly improves the early detection and diagnosis of prostate cancer and enables more precise treatment planning at the highest level. As one of a small number of centres, we are able to offer this technology.

The treatment of prostate cancer requires an individually tailored therapy concept. The choice of the optimal strategy depends on:

Conservative therapies with medication These may be appropriate in certain situations, for example to control tumour growth or to alleviate complaints.
- HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound)

The surgical gold standard in prostatectomy. Through highly precise robotic technology, healthy tissue is preserved to the greatest possible extent, complications are reduced, and recovery is accelerated. In the hands of Priv.-Doz. Dr. J.H. A modern imaging procedure that depicts the structure of tumour tissue particularly quickly and precisely. The Histolog® Scanner provides particular benefit in the context of surgery. It assists the surgeon in identifying and removing tumour tissue with even greater precision, thereby increasing the safety of the procedure. Follow-Up Care
After treatment, structured follow-up care is crucial to securing the long-term success of therapy. At our clinic, we place great importance on accompanying you closely after the procedure as well. The follow-up programme is tailored individually to your personal situation and includes:
- Quarterly check-up examinations during the first two years
- Regular PSA checks and clinical examinations
- Close collaboration with your attending urologist
